I have Ubuntu 12.04 installed via VBox 4.3x on a Mac, running OS X 10.7.5 with 16g Ram and 256mb NVIDIA Geo 7300. I have had no problems using and running this distro, as well as Mint 16. I may not have done this procedure yet, so I don't know if I changed something that caused this. What I mean is' this just happened to me today, but I am not sure I have previously tried switching back and forth between View modes.
Start Ubuntu; it opens in Scaled Mode and looks good, rectangular and resizes quickly by dragging bottom left corner.
Switch to Full Screen; it looks great, control panel engages at screen bottom and works. Everything works and is quick and looks good.
Switch back to Scaled and the Ubuntu window is 4:3, blurry, doesn't resize well, slows, and the only way to fix is to change display resolution to 1440x or less. These reso's get too big on my display.
I have VBox set up with 128m of video memory, and have tried both selecting and de-selecting acceleration options.
I can resolve this usually by shut down and restart, which is time consuming. This distro works so well otherwise, I would like to fix this last issue. Any thoughts?
