dropboxd on ubuntu 13.10 server

I've installed dropbox on an Ubuntu 13.10 x64 server virtual machine and, when running ~/.dropbox-dist/dropboxd I can't get the https://www.dropbox.com/cli_link?host_id=xxxxxxxx=en_US link that it should be output in order to associate the computer to my account.


Instead, I get nothing as output.


If I try to run dropboxd again, "I get Another instance of Dropbox (1481) is running!"
Running dropbox status gives me "Connecting..."


Any hint?
