[ubuntu] ubuntu host, ubuntu guest, using the windows key (meta key)

I run ubuntu 12.04 host system (64bit) and several VM's (both windows and ubuntu 32bit systems)

My problem is with the meta key (windows key)... If I am focused in an Ubuntu 12.04 remote VM and I press the meta key, the ubuntu launcher menu will pop up in the host VM and not the remote. The only way I have found to open the launcher in the remote is click in teh top left corner of the remote VM window.

Is there a way to make the windows key work in the remote VM only when the remote VM window is active?
