When I apply the updates that are indicated as being available from Ubuntu I get an error notification. If I try to report the problem I get another error saying the system is not an official one and that third party software should be removed. With no indication what the specific third party software is, I just continue. After this a comment that virtualbox 4.1 cannot be updated comes up so I assume this is the third party software causing the original message. Downloading virtualbox 4.3 indicates that it breaks virtualbox 4.1 and I have no indication that 4.3 installed. Is there a specific way to remove virtualbox 4.1 before installing the later version?
I have Wine installed to run an old Windows application. Is virtualbox needed for Wine or can I just remove all virtualbox software?
