I have a kvm environment running on ubuntu server 14.04 and last night the 2 guests in the environment were shutdown automatically without reason. The host itself did not reboot, the guests alone were shutdown. When I checked the libvirt shutdownlog.log I found these two entries:
libvirt: libvirt-bin: attempting clean shutdown of <guestname1> at Wed Feb 3 11:24:14 EST 2016
libvirt: libvirt-bin: attempting clean shutdown of <guestname2> at Wed Feb 3 11:24:14 EST 2016
Would there be a reason why this would happen? Are there any other log files I can look at to maybe see if the libvirt service stopped or see any other information that would help me get to the root of this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
