Hi
I am running Ubuntu 16.04 in VirtualBox 5.1.2 r108956 (using NAT networking), the host OS is Windows 10.
On booting the VM, Malwarebytes blocks an outbound connection on IP, 195.154.164.243 (port 57168) when the Ubuntu login screen is displayed. The process causing the connection is reported as VirtualBox (assume Windows will see a connection from a VM as coming from VirtualBox). Norton Security on the host OS does not report anything when the Ubuntu login screen is displayed.
I have done a full scan of the host OS using Malwarebytes and Norton Security and neither reports any threats.
Is this a valid IP connection from Ubuntu, or is more likely to be something from VirtualBox?
Kind regards
Ian
