Running a VM from a installed partition

Recently my laptop died and I ended up with a new one that came with MS Windows 10. I shrunk the C drive, 50-50 and installed Ubuntu and here we are. I can shutdown, start, select door #1 or door #2. What I'd like to do is run Kubuntu and on the rare occasion run Vmplayer or another VM and bring up W10.


So the question is: how do / can I create a new VM and use /dev/sda1 (w10)?
