UbuntuStudio won't run inside VirtualBox

I went to the UbuntuStudio site & downloaded full 64bit & 32bit .iso's (direct dl). Not sure exactly how to checksum to make sure it's not corrupt...

Anyways, I'm running VirtualBox 5.1.8 on Mac OS X (Sierra). Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (64bit) works perfectly fine, so I know that VirtualBox settings are correct.

It opens the UbuntuStudio .iso, asks me to select language, and once it gets to the loading screen (Selecting Try UbuntuStudio before installing), it just loads a fuzzy pixelated screen.

Just wondering what I can do, because I'm new to Linux, and I would really like to try the UbuntuStudio sound apps & see how they compare to FruityLoops, Logic Pro & ProTools.
