Hi,
I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS on a Windows 10 laptop, and within Ubuntu, I'm trying to access a mounted folder (mounted from an image). I'm experiencing kernel panic on some file operations, e.g. updatedb or find commands to find certain files. The capslock/scroll-lock/numlock all start blinking, and sometimes I get the VMware error popup "vmware workstation the cpu has been disabled by the guest operating system", which according to the vmware help page here confirms that a kernel panic has occurred. Does anyone know why this is happening, and how to rectify it? Thanks.
