[LXD] backup LXD container strtagey

I want to backup daily LXD container in order to restore it , in case of trouble.
Is there a dump command for lxd container ?

I found a way :
publish container to get an image. After, you can export this image to a tarball.

Are there other ways to backup LXD containers like lxd backup ?
It must be scriptable if it doesn't exist ?
