[ubuntu] Ubuntu running docker

I am trying to setup an ubuntu server with docker image for a friend of mine however I am stuck, I am not really used to linux.

Ubuntu 18lts (virtual vmware)
Mouse pointer in gui is not calibrated (mouse pointer position is not really synced with the gui if you know what I mean)

I downloaded docker and docker compose and successfully installed them, used the precompiled image

I arrived in deployment and startup step 1 - not really sure where I have to upload those files.
