[ubuntu] Bidirectional clipboard not working

Hi All

I have posted about this before but without getting a resolution, so I am posting again to see if anyone can help.

I have an almost identical setup on my work and home laptops but for some reason I have access to the clipboard at home but not at work.

Work Laptop -

OS - Win 7 Enterprise Edition (SP1) 64 bit
Virtual Box - V4.1.0
Guest - Ubuntu (latest edition with latest updates)

The only difference between my work laptop and my home is I am running Win 7 Home edition as the host OS.

I have the latest version of the Guest Additions package installed on both but cannot access the clipboard either way on my work laptop. This is really frustrating as generally need to scrape defect data into the Windows based test tools provided at work.

I have of course set the shared clipboard to Bi Directional.

It would be great if anyone could suggest a way of investigating why this is so as I haven't a clue how to go about it.
