[ubuntu] unable to connect to internet

Hi,

I have installed the correct version of virtualbox from their website and my guest OS is windows XP professional, it has been updated for all of windows updates, since I installed guest additions, I have lost the ability to connect to the internet in the guest OS, I have checked the network settings and NAT is selected, I have also made sure the correct wireless driver is installed, but that appears not to be working either, so not really sure of what to do. My buntu is 12.10
