[ubuntu] Putting a headless vmware player on Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS

Hello fine people I need to put a headless VmWare Player on my 'Headless' Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS. I know this can be done because we have it had work, we just login to the Ubuntu server with workstation and then open up our VM of choice.

I haven't been able to find any instructions, tutorials, or anything on this. There's plenty of stuff on Ubuntu->Vmware but not Vmware -> Ubuntu. Can someone help me out?
