VMWare Fusion

Hello

I would like to try out VMWare fusion as its isnt expensive but I could do with a bit of help from you guys please.

I want to use it with an install of latest Ubuntu and Im not sure if this will work or indeed how to go about it? I was going to use Windows XP but could use Windows 7 if needed.
