As the titlte suggests,I am having trouble making my webcam work on the GUEST OS which is windows 7.
The webcam works in Ubuntu, I have used Cheese to test it.
In VB I've installed guest additions and the extension pack required to enable usb 2.0 controller.
However, when I go to device or try to add a filter, No device is detected.
I have read in some posts that I have to add a filter, put ID vendors and other infos and that might work. However, I've used commands such as lsusb, lshw to see the webcam but I can't find it-the output isn't really user-friendly.
Can someone tell me how I can find the webcam hardware info using the commad line or a GUI program?
Is it there anything I can do to make the webcam work on my virtual machine that you think I might have not tried it?
Thank you
