[ubuntu] Dual monitor for ubuntu headless running on vmware

Hi,
I have installed ubunut 12.04 64 bit on VMWare. I am accessing the desktop happily using realVNC viewer and vino server.

I have 2 monitors and would like to run ubuntu on both of them. I don't like the idea of starting separate vnc sessions, it needs to be one session where I can move the applications from once screen to another.

Currently if I set useAllMonitors = true in my realVNC viewer settings I get a single screen which is displayed in the center of both monitors.
Also in System Settings -> Display I see only one monitor. Completely puzzled how do I add a second monitor.

output of 'lspci'
00:0f.0 VGA compatible controller: VMware SVGA II Adapter

Please help.
