I have Ubuntu 13.04 running VirtualBox 4.2.10 with Windows 7 as guest OS. I have a dual monitor setup and see an issue where the Unity desktop freezes when VirtaulBox is in "Full Screen" mode. Its possible for me to experience this issue in a dual monitor setup and only in full screen mode of VirtualBox. When VirtualBox is not in FullScreen mode, there are no issues.
Sometimes I only see the wall paper (no dash or top menu bar), other times I see the dash and menu bar, but frozen. For example the clock would be stuck showing old time (missed appointments due to this). Please notice the first screen capture, where the desktop switching animation is frozen with VB in full screen mode. The second screen capture is VB screen maximized, but the unity desktop switcher has disappeared.
Any insights on how to solve this issue?
