[ubuntu] memory shortage on ec2 virtual machine

Hi,

I have been running some benchmarks on a newly acquired ec2 virtual machine.
the configurations of machine are: 2 CPU units, 1 core and 3.7GB memory.

While running a particular test, i got a error message saying that that the test could not run properly; and only some 4021 out of 4893 files were created.

When i ran the test again, it said that phoronix test suite is already running. I suppose due to abrupt exit of previous test, i got this issue.

I tried removing the test suite package, but got error mesage for memory shortage.

And finally, now i get this message on any type of intallation or removal:

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.

Please help !!
