Hi,
i am not sure if this is the right forum to post this question in, so please excuse me if it is not but my question does sort of relate to virtualisation.
Basically, I want to give access to Ubuntu to my users via a web-browser. I am creating a community and rather than just having a basic online community I wanted to have the online community which is open to the public and then a members community. My intention was to have the members communiy based on Ubuntu. Let me explain.
The public community will be just a series of web pages and profiles built using Google APIs and based around Google+ which is a free service and thus will let anyone sign up to my community for free, giving them access to the public community through any web-browser or web-enabled device
For a small fee I wanted to provide paying members with a virtual desktop [ubuntu] and 250GB on online storage using GoogleDrive. Paying members will also get an account using my Google Apps for business. So they will have access to more features like ad-free email, an increased amount of disk space (like I said above) and a range of other features including the ability to create their own parts of the community using google groups and google sites.
So basically I want this to happen.
1: Paying Member goes to the relivent page on my site - lets just say the page is called paying members
2: The page, paying members, displays a login screen
3: The member enters their login (I'd prefer it to be their community email and password)
4: Ubuntu loads full screen and gives them a virtual desktop
I would prefer to do this via Google Chrome
I also want Google Drive to be the default save location within Ubuntu so that even if the users don't have access to the virtual desktop they can still login to Google Drive from any web-enabled device and access all their content. Consequently the virtual desktop wouldn't need a lot of server space for storage. Each paying member could have like 15GB at the most, so that they could install program's like OpenOffice or something if they wanted to do that.
Can someone tell me how I can do this please.
