Virtualbox GUI typing characters problem

Hi,

I have this strange issue with Virtualbox GUI. I installed 5.1.8 Virtualbox on Ubuntu 16.04 headless server. When I access desktop using vncserver I want to use VB GUI to create new machine. But when I type into form window I see different text than I type.

Like when I type qwert I see c.gvn. I attached screenshot.

I re-installed VB several times but nothing helps. When I type to other desktop apps like Text Editor, typing works correctly.

I am lost with this issue as I really don't know where the problem is.

Can you help me with ideas what to do?
